About Midwest Rubber Company

Quality parts are produced utilizing high grade liquid latex, neoprene and polyvinyl chloride (P.V.C.).  These raw materials are compounded to meet customer specifications and to resist environmental conditions such as oil, low and high temperatures, water, dust, dirt and ozone.  All products are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed your quality control and S.P.C. requirements.

Over 50 years of experience and innovation have made Midwest Rubber a recognized leader in the rubber and plastic industry.  An expert staff of engineers and technicians, combined with modern, well equipped facilities enable Midwest Rubber to produce quality prototype and production part with low cost tooling and competitive piece prices.

A Strong Foundation...

At the Midwest Rubber Company we have the planning, technological and production resources that provide our customers with the kind of competitive advantage they demand.  Our team of engineering and manufacturing professionals are capable of taking any project full-circle - from concept, through engineering, and into production.

Our systems development approach is supported by our broad manufacturing process capabilities.  We offer a variety of material options, providing flexibility in the selection of both materials and design alternatives.  This allows us to offer a selection of options and methods for manufacturing our products, as well as better cost management for our customers.

A key factor in our ability to take full advantage of our manufacturing process diversity is our use of sophisticated design tools and multiple-process integration.  This means that we can apply different process techniques, alone or in combination, to determine the most robust and efficient way to manufacture a particular component or system.

Midwest Rubber company delivers to its customers exactly what they expect: superb design, quality and on-time delivery at lower costs.

Complete Integration...

Meeting needs in the design and manufacturing process is a good thing, but in today's marketplace, that's simply not enough.  The automotive customer needs to know that its suppliers are capable, diverse, and strong.  The supplier must possess the experience and resources to get the job done on time, and to handle changing requirements and priorities for the life of a vehicle program.

Solid Methods...

The first step in our design process is a review of the customer's application and packaging environment.  It is at this stage that we bring our extensive capabilities and skilled engineers into direct contact with our customer's engineering team.

The process begins with the transmission of our customer's vehicle environment data to the Midwest Rubber Design Center.  We may begin with CAD data or create it ourselves from a sketch, a part, or merely a concept.

Through the completion of design and the integration of tooling and manufacturing readiness, our cross-functional APQP teams ensure that the product is optimized for customer function, efficiency and cost.

Our materials are selected from a broad range of options which include:  PVC, silicone; polyurethane; latex, neoprene, and various thermoset rubbers such as EPDM, polychloroprene, and many others.

Rigorous Execution...

We utilize a wide variety of functionally-linked analytical tools, and a dedicated data network that spans our entire enterprise.  We have eliminated any steps which can hinder product communication, ensuring design conformance and rigorous adherence to customer intent at every step of the way.

Our products are manufactured with a range of processes that offer flexibility in meeting quality and performance standards.  These processes include: Thermoset  Molding, Urethane Foaming and Insert Molding; Dip Forming; Slush and Open Face Casting; and Rotational Molding.  These diverse processes have facilitated the development of multi-durometer products, with integral fastening features for ease of customer assembly into the vehicle enviroment.

Through the use of a variety of rubber compounds, Midwest Rubber can develop custom-designed solutions to the problems of NVH, sealing, appearance and engine function.

What Quality Means to Midwest Rubber...

At Midwest Rubber, we don't just talk quality - we implement programs that ensure we meet the strict quality that the industry demands.  Our customers expect it, and we deliver it. Our track record shows it.

Through the use of the Midwest Rubber Operating System - a continuous improvement system based on lean manufacturing, APQ planning, and team development - we ensure the flexibility the way we do business.

Guiding and directing our design process are innovation and a 'can-do' attitude.  Our manufacturing facility is QS9000 registered, which ensures a level of consistency and repeatability that our customers can rely on.

We practice LEAN manufacturing and employee involvement, which ensures the ongoing development of new, fresh ideas and a solid plan for rapid implementation.

Our Customer Support Center, fully staffed and equipped, provides timely sales and engineering support for all customer applications.

Finishing The Equation...

Through the entire engineering process and production of the finished product, we have come full-circle and offer a complete package.  Within this package are superior quality and end-products that meet the specifications and performance objectives of our customers.
